Listen to me boy when I'm talking to ya.
Remember, opinions are like rectums, everyone has one!
Did you see where Fergie was offered a job as a talk show host for only 1.4 million dollars renumeration? I seem to remember she had a necklace stolen in New York that was worth about 500 thousand dollars, or more. If I was her I would refuse a job that only paid you enough to buy a necklace with matching earrings!
Are you fed up with Crown Prosecutors making deals with criminals and only giving them a slap on the wrist, so they can clear out the courts? Where is the accountability? What are the judges doing? What would happen if they were made accountable for their deals? Probably a lot less repeat offenders on the street or a lot more prosecutors out of a job!
How about those insurance rates in Ontario? If you own a large displacement motorcycle your rate could exceed 10% of the value of your motorcycle. God forbid, if you should get a speeding ticket your rates could exceed 20% of the motorcycle value and if you get put on Facility (a special insurance group set up to insure high-risk people) your premium could exceed 40% of the motorcycle value. How long would car drivers put up with exorbitant rates like this?
At a recent discussion over supper the topic of drivers running red lights was discussed. There has been an outbreak of red light running, just as the light turns red. Various opinions were presented but the conversation ended when Russ said "A fresh red light is as good as a green!" Forget the cameras and photo radar to catch red light runners. Simply reset the lights to let the green come on a split second before the red. After a few accidents drivers would watch for Mr. Red (that's what the primary school kids call the red hand on the walk signal that comes on seconds before the traffic light turns red).
And the polititions wonder why they have a bad image with the voters.
Did you hear that a recent poll had been done to see if the public would pay to keep the Canadian Brodcasting Corporation running when the government withdres its funding? The poll resulted in an overwhelmning "NO" as far as funding from the public pocket. Guess what? That political genius has asked the staff to look into adding a 50 tax to every video rental and to every cablevision bill. No means No, stay out of my pocket!
Now the Ontario Government, better known as the Harass Government (no, that is not a spelling error, I'm certainly being harassed by Harris) has decided to make changes in the automobile insurance industry. It plans to reduce the accident payout from $1000 a week to $400 a week then allow people to sue. They think this might lower insurance rates. I have a news flash for them. Any lowering of premiums will be insignificant in value, just a token amount to make the effort look valid. However, the Government will now give us the right to BUY extra coverage to get that $600 per week back, etc. I say up theirs! Don't let them STEAL what you have already paid for then ask you to be crazy enough to pay more money just to get back to the place you started from.
